Food vendors like The Pig Out Place and Hungry Burro will be serving up their delicious foods. The Olean Cornhole Club will have a cornhole tourney, music will be provided by Cattaraugus Creek, refreshments (*alcoholic/non-alcoholic) will be available. The promo item will be guaranteed to those that register by May 1st. The event will have a fee of $20 per participant and includes a float promo item and refreshments (food and two brews*). “We want our event to allow local businesses/organizations and residents to compete in a participative and competitive basis, while promoting fitness and corporate camaraderie,” stated Sarah Blovsky, GOACC Member Services Manager.
The float event will follow suit with the goal of supporting companies in creating internal wellness programs and promoting team-building, fitness and friendly competition. “Although only using about 10 miles of the picturesque 325-long Allegheny River, the event will use boats, kayaks, canoes as mode of transportation to those taking part in the float,” she added.įloat the Allegheny will be modeled after the Chamber’s successful foot race, Corporate Challenge. “This was the first event that the Chamber has utilized the river,” reported Meme K. Those staying after, there will be a fun festival atmosphere for all – music, food, refreshments, cornhole and more. The event will also feature a timed regatta. For 2023, the M3 will consist of Float the Allegheny, non-timed regatta running from South Union Street in Olean to the Four Mile/1st Street in Allegany. OLEAN: Introduced in 2022 by Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce, that event consisted of several water and land events.
